Who we are
Saving a Generation Kenya Foundation (SAGKF) is a national non-governmental organisation. Our tagline is Unlocking Potential. Building Kenya's Future.
A non-governmental, non-political, non-partisan, non-profit, voluntary organisation established for public benefit in Kenya.
Main object. To empower, protect, educate and uplift the current and future generations of children, youth and vulnerable persons in Kenya through sustainable programmes in education, health, skills development, child protection, mentorship and community resilience, thereby contributing to the social and economic development of the nation.
Vision. A Kenya where every child and young person is protected, educated, and empowered to realise their full potential and contribute meaningfully to national development.

Why this work
Children, youth, and vulnerable persons need more than slogans—they need education, health and protection, skills, adults who listen, and communities that stay present after the awareness day ends.
Our programmes make that presence practical: Champions Clubs, Pathways, skills and conservation—named themes faith hosts and sponsors can own. Prevention of substance abuse sits inside a wider protection and wellbeing mandate aligned with our Constitution.
The Foundation does not engage in political or partisan activity and does not support any political party or candidate.
Constitutional mandate
What we are authorised to do
SAGKF's objects are set out in our Constitution (Article 5). Programmes on this site are how we deliver them in community.
- Education & mentorship — Establish, support and manage educational programmes, scholarships, bursaries, learning centres and mentorship initiatives that improve access to quality education for children and youth from disadvantaged backgrounds.
- Health, protection & wellbeing — Promote the health, nutrition, psychosocial well-being and protection of children, adolescents and young people—including programmes addressing HIV/AIDS, reproductive health, mental health and prevention of substance abuse.
- Skills & livelihoods — Design and implement skills training, vocational education, entrepreneurship and livelihood programmes that equip youth with employable skills and opportunities for self-reliance.
- Child & youth rights — Advocate for and promote the rights of children and youth as enshrined in the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, the Children Act and relevant international instruments—and work against child labour, early marriage, trafficking and all forms of abuse and exploitation.
- Family & community resilience — Strengthen family and community support systems that nurture positive values, leadership, patriotism and responsible citizenship among the younger generation.
- Partnerships for delivery — Partner with national and county governments, development partners, private sector, faith-based organisations and other civil society actors in the delivery of programmes that advance the well-being of children and youth.
- Research & public education — Conduct research, documentation and public education on issues affecting children and youth—and use evidence to influence policy and practice.
- Lawful resource mobilisation — Mobilise, receive, manage and apply financial and other resources from lawful sources for the attainment of the Foundation's objects—without compromising independence or mission.

Leadership
Governance & team
SAGKF is governed by a Board of Directors (five to nine members, including Office Bearers). Day-to-day work is led by a Chief Executive Officer appointed by the Board.
